The invention relates to a fixed road surface comprising a concrete piece and fixing devices (8) for fixing tracks (7) for rail vehicles, in particular, for high speed trains, to the concrete piece. The fixed road surface (2) is laid in a tunnel (1) with paths (9) arranged to the sides. Boards (11) are arranged above the concrete piece as rescue and escape paths, which essentially connect the upper edges of the tracks (7) to each other and to the upper edge of the path (9). The boards leave the necessary gaps free between the tracks (7) and the paths (9) which are necessary for the operation of the fixed road surface (2) or which do not significantly hinder vehicular or pedestrian access to the rescue and escape path thus produced.
