Zusammenfassung:The booth (100) for surface treatment of workpieces such as motor vehicle bodies (102) has an inner chamber (108) with a width reducing upwards from a taper start height (H) which is deeper or the same height as the upper edge of the conveying contour covered by the workpiece. The width of the inner chamber of the booth reduces upwards monotonically, constantly or linearly as far as the ceiling (120). At least one of the sidewalls (116,118) has an inclined section (130) which extends upwards from the taper start height and is inclined towards the longitudinal center plane (128) of the booth.
