VERFAHREN ZUR HERSTELLUNG EINES KARTENFÖRMIGEN DATENTRÄGERS MIT EINEM BESCHRIFTUNGSBEREICH

The method involves forming a structure (8) of a tool in an upper surface of a card body (2) so as to form a marking region (5). The marking region is provided for labeling using a marking fluid, and exhibits a surface structure that is provided by the tool. A coating is provided on the card body, before molding of the structure of the tool. The card body is manufactured by lamination of set of plastic foils. A lamination sheet is molded into the upper surface of the card body during lamination of the structure (8) for forming the marking region. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a tubular head shaped semi finished product from plastic for a card shaped data carrier (2) a card shaped data carrier with a card body from plastic.
