Zusammenfassung:A power assist steering system (10) including a valve housing (16) and a proportional control valve (38) supported within the valve housing (16), further includes a pressure transducer (162, 164) arranged with respect to the proportional control valve (38) for determining an amount of actuation of the proportional control valve (38). A pressure signal (260) is sent from the pressure transducer (162, 164) to a control (270) for determining an amount of current to be sent to an electromagnetic apparatus (70) within the power assist steering system (10) for overcoming a pull force.
