The present invention relates to a double-acting plunger cylinder having a piston rod and a cylinder, wherein pressure chambers for receiving the hydraulic oil are formed in the cylinder, wherein two inlets are provided in one pressure chamber of the cylinder, which inlets can be supplied with hydraulic oil via an adjoining distributor, one of the two inlets forms a connection to the directly adjoining pressure chamber, and the second inlet forms a connection to the pressure chamber situated at the other side of the piston rod, wherein the hydraulic oil can be conducted through a tube which adjoins the second inlet and through a longitudinal bore which is provided in the piston and into which the tube can be inserted.
