Zusammenfassung:	An appliance is proposed for inertizing the atmosphere inside wave-soldering plants, in which liquid solder is put, preferably by a linear motor pump, into at least one solder wave (1) for the soldering of workpieces, with a solder reservoir (2) and a solder flow-off plate (9), which is arranged in relation to a wave-forming orifice (3) and with at least one diffuser (5, 6, 7) for inert gas, at least one diffuser (5) being arranged below the plate (9) in the region of the wave (1), said at least one diffuser allowing feeding inert gas into the system such that inert gas is also fed into the space below the solder wave.
