Zusammenfassung:	The arrangement is rotatable about a horizontal longitudinal axis and has radiation optics that deflect a particle beam radially and perpendicular to the horizontal axis and a primary structure supporting a secondary structure holding magnets. The stiffness of the secondary structure ensures that vertical displacements of the magnets resulting from their weight is essentially identical in all rotary angular positions of the arrangement. The arrangement is rotatable about a horizontal longitudinal axis (16) and has radiation optics that deflect a particle beam (12) radially and perpendicular to the horizontal axis and a substantially rotationally symmetrical primary structure (18) supporting a secondary structure (30) holding magnets (36,38,40). The stiffness of the secondary structure ensures that vertical displacements of the magnets resulting from their weight is essentially identical (isokinetic) in all rotary angular positions of the arrangement. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: (a) a method of configuring a gantry arrangement for isocentric guidance of a particle beam.
