Zusammenfassung:	1. Window or doorframe profile, consisting of a hollow plastics profile (1A-1F) with a strengthening profile (2A-2F), especially of metal, set therein, wherein the strengthening profile is disposed in the hollow plastics profile with a certain pre-stressing and is additionally fixed in the hollow plastics profile by fixing elements, e.g. screws (11) screwed in from the outside, characterised in that : a) the cross-section of the strengthening profile (2A-2F) is trapezoidal and comprises at least one wall (3, 4) forming a wedge surface, and in that the hollow space (7) in the hollow plastics profile (1A-F) receiving the strengthening profile has a tapering trapezoidal cross-section matched thereto, b) the height (h) of the strengthening profile (2A-2F) in the wedging direction (A) is smaller than that (H) of the hollow space (7) in the hollow plastics profile (1A-1F) receiving the strengthening profile, and c) the fixing elements, e.g. the screws (11) between the hollow plastics profile (1A-1F) and the strengthening profile (2A-2F) are arranged to act in the wedging direction (A), so that on corresponding actuation or rotation of the same the strengthening profile (2A-2F) is movable into mating engagement with the adjacent walls (8, 9, 13) of the hollow plastics profile (1A-1F) which form wedge surfaces.
