The heald frame (1), for a loom, has upper and lower profiled rails (6,7) to hold the healds (10) by guides (13,14) at the heald ends. A limit stop (15,16) of a damping material is at least at one end of the heald (10). The gap between the limit stop (15,16) and the end of the heald (10) is smaller than the gap between the surface of the profiled rail (6,7) towards the limit stop (15,16) and the end of the guides (13,14). Limit stops (15,16) are mounted at both ends of the healds (10). The limit stop (15,16) is a bar, at an upper and/or lower lateral strut (4,5) of the frame (4,5) for the heald frame (1). The lateral struts (4,5) have a holder (18) for the limit stop (15,16). At least one profiled rail (6,7) has an adjustable mounting at least at one lateral strut (4,5), along the line of the healds (10). The limit stops (15,16) can be adjusted along the heald (10) line. The limit stops (15,16) are bars of a pref. rubber elastic plastics material.
