Zusammenfassung:A telecommunications device (1) comprises a detector with which it can detect any identification signal like a CLIP. The detector is made of a modem (3) which will digitize the received signal and sent it (8) to a processing unit (4), part of the detector. If the received signal is a characteristic signal made of a number of bits "0", "1" alternating one after the other usually preceded by an alerting signal, then the processing unit (4) will recognized that signal as being part of a signaling signal. The processing unit (4) will then be activated to process any identification signal which shall follow that characteristic signal.
