Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method and a device for curtain coating, wherein a free-falling liquid curtain (1) consisting of at least one layer is applied to a continuously moving striplike base material (2). When seen from the direction in which the base material moves (7), the air that is entrained by the base material is expelled from the striplike base material in front of the wetting line by means of a construction comprising at least two rows of brushes (6a, 6b) and suctioned away by means of an air suctioning device (5) which is integral with the at least two rows of brushes.
