Zusammenfassung:	Primer composition comprising aqueous solution containing vinylphosphonic acid-acrylic acid copolymer, is coated on aluminum oxide or aluminum hydroxide surface of an aluminum alloy sheet, to form a primer layer comprising reaction product of copolymer and aluminum oxide or hydroxide. The primer layer is coated with coating composition comprising polymer such as polyvinyl chloride, epoxies or polyester. INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the following: (i) Polymer coated aluminum alloy sheet; and (ii) Aluminum alloy container body or end panel.
