Zusammenfassung:	A spiral vane air compressor has a rotating disc (2), on an eccentric mounting and on which are fitted sets of spiral vanes (3,3') each with inner (31,31') and outer (30.30') sealing flanges to produce sickle shaped chambers whose volume is reduced during the rotation of the disc and which move air from outer inlet ducts to inner outlet ducts. The leading edges ( 32,33) of the sealing flanges are offset by a set angle to even out pressure pulses generated by the spiral vanes.
