Zusammenfassung:	This invention concerns a work bench (1) for assembly of workpieces. The work bench consists of a bench top (14), which is constructed of profile rails (141, 141') which are located at a distance from each other and which have recessed nuts (15), of an understructure with at least two parallel longitudinal supports (13) and at least two table legs (11), and clamping devices (3). The work bench (1) is particularly suited for assembly work using welding, soldering or gluing processes. This bench can be used nearly anywhere and involves little effort in attaching clamping devices (3). A high degree of stability of the workpieces is achieved. Moreover, the invention costs relatively little to produce. The bench top (14) can be simply and easily adapted for mounting workpieces. The size of the bench top (14) is determined by the number and size of the profile rails (141, 141') and the length of the longitudinal supports (13).
