Zusammenfassung:	The container has a delivery unit for the supply of coffee beans under gravity to a coffee making machine or grinder with a hopper section in the base through which the beans fall under gravity. A mechanism is provided in which an elongated finger element is agitated within the hopper to prevent jamming. The container (5) for coffee beans has a lower hopper section (8) through which the beans fall towards a delivery screw (10) on a motor driven shaft (11). A groove (14) is angled to the shaft axis (10') and one end of an agitator (15) runs in the groove so that it is swung from side to side as the shaft rotates. The other end (15b) of the agitator extends into the stream of beans and its rocking action prevents the flow of beans from jamming.
