Zusammenfassung:	A description is given of a fuel filter and/or lubricating oil filter for internal combustion engines. This filter consists of a base plate (10) which can be fixed on a receiving part (11), a cover (13), which is releasably connected to the base plate (10), and of a supporting tube (19) arranged on the cover (13) or base plate (10). Pushed onto the supporting tube (19) is a filter cartridge (32) consisting of a cylindrical filter insert (18) and nonmetallic end discs (23, 24). This filter cartridge (32) is in contact with a sealing element (35) on the base plate (10) and with a further sealing element (36) on the cover (13). Replacement of the complete filter is not necessary: it is possible to replace just the filter cartridge at certain intervals.
