The invention relates to an electromagnetic switch drive, which is accommodated in a multi-piece housing, for switching currents in the load range, having a switch with stationary contacts (which are accommodated in switching chambers) and moving contacts with contact link supports which can be operated by a switching magnet, having a quick-action trip device (which is located in a row) for protection against currents in the overload range, and having an auxiliary switch, a supporting module being provided which is inserted into the housing (which consists of a housing lower part and a housing upper part), and the quick-action trip device, the switch, the switching magnet and the auxiliary switch as well as the associated connecting contacts being mounted on the supporting module before said module is inserted into the housing and is fixed by latching of the housing parts.
