Zusammenfassung:	A method for printing identity cards (10) with a blind hole (12) provides for the hole to be at least partially filled at the moment of printing with an element (14) so that the bottom of the hole is pressed against the printing surface. The elements are either attached firmly to the counter-pressure surface of the device or are mounted movably in said surface. In the second case, the elements can disappear in the counter-pressure surface if required.
