Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to the heating of cold, injection moulded preforms (parisons) which are heated to blow moulding temperature in sections in a heating zone (24) by infrared radiators, by the so-called "reheat process", on a belt, rotating about their axis, and for the distribution of the heat over their cross-section by means of smoothing sections between the radiators and are then fed to a hollow-article blow moulding device. For processing crystalline polymers, in particular polypropylene, it is proposed that before the preforms pass into the heating zone (24), they pass through a preliminary zone (7) on which they are already kept rotating, that in the heating zone they are simultaneously heated on one side and cooled on the opposite side and that following the heating zone (24) they pass through a hot-air conditioning and protecting zone (25) in a virtually closed system (20), before they are fed to a blow moulding device.
