Zusammenfassung:	A connecting element designed to fit together profile members (1) of extruded light metal in the junction areas (2) in vehicle chassis by means of light metal angle irons (3) and bolt joints (4), wherein the profile members have outwardly open U-shaped grooves (6) for reception therein of fastening portions (7) of complementary configuration formed on the L-shaped angle irons (3), said bolt joints (4) extending transversely through the profile members (1) and through the angle irons (3) so as to create a tightening friction joint therebetween.
