Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a damping device (1) for at least one high-tension overhead line (40), which device is guided over a span between the crossbars (2) of pylons (10) and is held thereon. The invention is based on the object of constructing the damping device (1) such that, when vibrations occur, their amplitudes do not assume a significant size. The damping device (1) according to the invention has, in the region of the conductor suspensions (3A), the crossbars (2) and/or the pylons (10), one or more components (4, 5, 14, 24, 50) which absorb the kinetic energies occurring in a span and prevent their transmission into adjacent spans.
