Zusammenfassung: | A hip prosthesis typically includes an anchoring shaft (1), a head (2) and a flange (3). The prosthesis is characterized in that the anchoring shaft (1) has a smoothly-curved shape with a rear concavity, in that, at least in its upper portion (1c), said shaft's cross-section grows larger towards the top thereof starting from a point where the cross-sectional shape has an extended transverse axis (S3), in that said upper portion (1c) is curved inwards so that the head (2) forms an aligned extension thereof, and in that the upper portion (1c) is also twisted in the same direction as the anteversion of the head (2). Cement-free and cemented versions are provided, as well as several different sizes to suit all needs. |
