Zusammenfassung:This preheating device for a molten-metal casting nozzle (2), arranged in the refractory lining of the bottom (1) of a metallurgical vessel, comprises at least one burner (13) which is arranged inside the metallurgical vessel and which is oriented towards the inlet section of the casting nozzle (2). The burner is accommodated in a tube (12) for protection against the molten metal; this tube is preferably a stopper rod (tapping rod) (12) for closing the casting nozzle. The burner (13) is arranged in a chamber (15) provided inside the stopper rod (tapping rod) and the lower end of this stopper rod (tapping rod) (12) is pierced with at least one channel (18) communicating with the said chamber (15) and oriented so as to direct the flame of the burner (13) towards the nozzle (2) and towards the seat (5) of the stopper rod (tapping rod) (12).
