Zusammenfassung:	The battery has a block of plates in a metal case whose side walls (11) are connected to a bottom (12). A dish (17) is located around the bottom. A space is formed between the bottom an dthe dish in the region of the joint between the case's side walls and the case's bottom. This space is filled with an electrical insulator (19) that bonds to the electrically insulting coating (16) of the metal case. The battery is for electric vehicles of all kinds and lamps and can act as a starter for the locomotive's diesel engine etc. The insulator in the cavity ensures that the insulting coating in the region of the joint with the bottom remains intact during battery use.
