Zusammenfassung:	Compsn for combatting weeds on cultures of pines or other conifers comprises a mixt of (a) chlorinated alkanoic acids (I) and (b) N-alkyl N'-arylureas (II) in conventional formulations. The spectrum of activity of (I) is broadened by including (II) without affecting the tolerance of the conifers to the compsn. Thus the compsn controls important woodland grasses (as seedling or one-leaf plants) and also the species Holcus mollis and H. lanatus which are not controlled alpha, alpha-dichloropropionic acid alone. Application is e.g. in the autumn by spraying from aircraft. Specif. (I) is alpha, alpha-dichloropropionic acid and (II) is N,N-dimethyl-N'-phenyl-urea, and ratio (I):(II) is 20:1 to 1:5.
