Zusammenfassung: | A device for destroying large weeds, such as docks, in organic farming has a disc shape and covers the selected large weeds causing them to wilt away, roots and all. The discs are made of a mixture of clay, chalk, and earth and bonded together by fibers, e.g. hay or straw. The discs are dried not fired and with rot away over a few months, without adding chemicals to the soil. The discs are especially used in pastures and have no harmful components for grazing animals. The discs can be made on site. The shallow profile enables cutters to ride over the discs. |
