Zusammenfassung:The internal combustion engine (1) has a turbocharger (4), with at least a compressor (5) in the inlet flow path (2) and at least an exhaust-gas turbine (6) in the discharge opening flow path (3). In order to increase the compressor efficiency, fine-sputtered water is injected into the inlet flow path (2) upstream of the compressor (5). The water injection arrangement injects water droplets of maximum size 10mu m.
