Zusammenfassung:Polymeric molding materials based on mixtures of meltable oligo-triazine ethers with 4-18 triazine units derived from triazine ethers, especially aminotriazine ethers . Products, especially molding materials (P), based on polymers with triazine segments, comprising mixtures of meltable 4- to 18-ring oligo-triazine ethers (OTE) based especially on aminotriazine ethers of formula (A). R1 = R4-O-CHR3-NH- or (R4-O-CHR3)2N-; R2 = -NH2, -NH-CHR3OR4, -N(CHR3OR4)2, methyl, propyl, phenyl, OH, phthalimido or succinimido; R3 = H or 1-7C alkyl; R4 = H or 1-18C alkyl. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for the production of (P) by linking units (A) together to form OTE as above, using linear and/or branched elements of formula -NH-X-NH- (I), -N(CHR3OR4)-X-NH- (II), -N(CHR3OR4-X-N(CHR3OR4)- (III), -N(XNH-)-(X-N-)z-3-X-NH- (IV), -N(X-N(CHR3OR4)-)-(X-N-)z-3-X-NH- (V), -N(X-N(CHR3OR4)-)-(X-N-)z-3-X-N(CHR3OR4)- (VI) and/or (VII), by (a) etherating precondensates of 1-8C aldehydes and triazines of formula (T) (T:aldehyde ratio = (1:1)-(1:4)) with 1-4C alcohols at 5-100degreesC in presence of ionic catalysts and then trans-etherating the products with 4-18C alcohols at 80-120degreesC with distillation of 1-4C alcohol, (b) removing unreacted alcohol and water from the neutralised mixture, optionally dissolving the melt at 70-120degreesC in 70-150 wt% 3-6C alcohol, removing insolubles at 15-40degreesC and evaporating to 5-20 wt% alcohol (stage b carried out at pH 7-10), (c) oligomerisation for 2-12 minutes at 140-220degreesC in a continuous kneader (optionally after tempering for 20-120 minutes at 70-140degreesC), optionally with incorporation of fillers and other additives, followed by extrusion and granulation (2) a method (M2) as above for the production of (P) in which the molding material is processed for 2-12 minutes in a continuous kneader at 105-220degreesC (optionally with the addition of up to 300 wt% fillers and/or reinforcing agents, up to 100 wt% reactive polymer and up to 2 wt% stabilizers etc.), then (A) extruded onto glazing rollers, drawn off a sheet and cut, or sealed onto metal foil, plastic film, paper or textile and processed as a composite material, or (B) extruded through a profile die or (C) an annular die and processed accordingly, or (D) treated with blowing agents and extruded through a sheet die to give foam, or (E) extruded through a sheet die onto a rotating tube in a tube-coating system, or (F) processed in an in
