Zusammenfassung:Method of transmitting data over one or more parallel (K) two-wire circuits (1) by multi-carrier modulation with many, N, carrier frequencies. A transmission matrix (A) describing transmission behaviour is calculated. Multiplying this matrix with a transmission symbol vector (x) containing the data blocks to be transmitted in parallel gives a receiving symbol vector (y) which corresponds to the receivable reception signals after transmission over the two-wire circuits (1), Furthermore, singular value decomposition is performed in the form A = Q λ P, and on the transmitter side the transmitter symbol vector (x) to be transmitted is multiplied by the second unitary matrix (P), the resulting symbol vector (x') is transmitted and on the receiver side is calculated from the multiplication of the received symbol vector (y') with the hermitian transpose of the first unitary matrix Q of the received signal vector (y). Accordingly, a frequency region distortion correction is separately performed for all the K two-wire circuits and N carrier frequencies.
