Zusammenfassung:A process is described for producing a starch-based baking composition for producing rottable thin-walled shaped bodies by applying the baking composition to the bottom mould piece of a multipiece, preferably two-piece, mould, baking and conditioning to a moisture content of 6% by weight to 22% by weight, the baking composition, in addition to a starch and/or flour or flour mixtures and/or starch derivatives, containing a release agent and if appropriate thickener, fibres, non-fibrous fillers, colourings in powder form, preservatives and antioxidants, before the addition of water polyvinyl alcohol being added to the baking composition in the form of a fine powder and being intimately mixed with the other pulverulent ingredients, the polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization greater than 1 000, preferably than 1 600, in particular greater than 2 000, water being added to the dry mixture to form a suspension in an amount of 100 to 240 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of starch product and the suspension formed being allowed to rest before being applied to the mould.
