Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a cold-starting device for an internal combustion engine powered by alcohol fuel, with external ignition and central mixture formation, with an electrical heating element, which can be switched on before cold starting, being arranged in the induction manifold, and an electrically controlled cold starting valve (which is connected to a fuel pump) being provided, by means of which an amount of fuel can be applied to the heating element. According to the invention, the electrical heating element 22 has a vaporizer part 23 which is formed from thin, preferably cylindrical pins 23' and is inserted in the induction manifold 10, preferably on the underneath in the region of the branch point of an induction manifold elbow 10', such that it is detachable and is thermally insulated from the induction manifold 10, and the cold starting valve 19 is arranged opposite the vaporizer part 23. The vaporizer part (evaporator part) is preferably pre-heated to 115 to 120 degree C for cold starting. |
