Zusammenfassung:The metal-cutting tool comprises a substrate (1); during the process of heating and cleaning the substrate the supply of a gas reagent is effected at the temperature at which its predominant component dissolves in the material of the substrate (1). Simultaneously a primary layer (4) is formed on the working surface (2) of the substrate (1), and a thermostable transition layer (3) is formed within the substrate (1) wherein it was introduced during its heating up to the appropriate temperature to dissolve the refractory components of the substrate (1) material in an evaporated cathode material. A coating (5) is deposited on the primary layer (4).
