Casting guide roll for a continuous casting plant

A casting guide roll 1 for a continuous casting plant with at least one roll shell body 11, which is arranged rotatably by means of bearings 12 on a shaft 5 mounted on the casting guide structure via mountings 2, has a force- measuring arrangement. In order to make possible accurate determination and allocation of the measurement results without great computational outlay in such a casting guide roll 21, deformations of the shaft 5 being allowed to remain out of consideration, and in order for it to be possible to build such a casting guide roll 1 into existing plants without rebuilding work on the supporting structure, the bearings 12 are supported on a sleeve 7 which surrounds the shaft 5, at least in part at a distance and forming a gap 6, and the sleeve 7 is supported on the shaft 5 via at least two supporting shoulders 10 arranged at a distance 20 from the bearings 12 in the longitudinal direction of the roll 1, at least one expansion measuring strip 22 being provided on the sleeve 7 at a distance from the supporting shoulders.
