Zusammenfassung:	New herbicidally and/or insecticidally active plant-protection agents contain (a) sodium and/or potassium bisulphate, bisulphite, dithionite and/or sulphate and (b) one or more herbicidally and/or insecticidally active organic cpds. pt. together with (c) carriers, extenders, diluents and/or adjuvants. The salts (component (a)) synergise the activity of herbicides and/or insecticides to the extent that a mixt. of non-poisonous and non-phytotoxic salt and herbicide and/or insecticide can be used which has the same herbicidal and/or insecticidal activity as the pure herbicide and/or insecticide. The net result of this is a redn. in toxicity or phytotoxicity without loss of herbicidal and/or insecticidal activity. A 62.1/37.6 w/w mixt of 2-ethylamino-4-isopropylamino-6-methylthio-1,3,5-triazine and sodium bisulphite monohydrate applied at a rate of 10 kg/ha has greater herbicidal activity than 10 kg/ha of the triazine deriv. alone, but has no adverse effects on maize.
