Zusammenfassung:The advancing mine support system uses units, each with a roof assembly supported above floor supports (1) by telescopic cylinders (3). To ensure stability when used on uneven ground, the cylinders are interconnected by a system of strips giving resilience to the whole unit. This system includes strips (2) connecting the two cylinders on each floor member, interconnected by cross strips (4) at right angles to them. The cross strips have elongated holes for the connecting bolts which pass through the strips at the junction points. At the centre of the first strips (2) are further bolts for additional strips (5) projecting outwards at right angles for connection to adjacent units. These additional strips also have slotted holes (6).
