Zusammenfassung:	A storage stable lubricating composition having improved anti-friction and anti-wear properties is provided by a base oil composition containing an additive combination of (1) a zinc dihydrocarbyl dithiophosphate, (2) an ester of a polycarboxylic acid and a glycol and (3) an ashless dispersant containing a high molecular weight aliphatic hydrocarbon oil solubilizing group attached thereto and wherein either the zinc or ester component or both are predispersed prior to adding them to the lubricating composition.
