1309282 Enzyme-containing dentifrices TELEC SA 29 May 1970 [3 June 1969] 26132/70 Heading A5B Dentifrice compositions, e.g. toothpastes, chewing gums, tablets and tooth powders, comprise conventional ingredients together with an oxidoreductase enzyme. Optionally, a hydrolase which acts on material present in the mouth to provide a substrate for the oxido reductase, e.g. a carbohydrase, protease or lipase (examples given) and/or such a substrate itself may be incorporated into the compositions. Numerous oxidoreductases are specified including lactate, malate, glucose, hexose, galactose, pyruvate, oxalate, L-amino-acid, D-amino-acid, xanthine, sarcosine sulphite and N- methylamino oxidases, tyraminase and histaminase.
