Zusammenfassung:1,046,354. Cine film magazines. K. VOCKENHUBER and R. HAUSER. Feb. 12,1964 [Feb. 12, 1963], No. 5917/64. Heading G2E. A magazine for double-run 8mm. cine film has a feeler arm 15 fixed to pivotable pin 16 and spring- urged into contact with the film on the take-up reel 14 until a certain diameter is reached when a projection 19 on the arm enters a recess on the inner wall 20, the pin 16 then being moved axially under the action of a pin 7 on contact spring 27 whereby the contacts 26, 27 are opened and the camera motor is switched off. Magazine 8 is then turned over so that the reel 13 is mounted on the driving pin and a further lug 18 now enters a shallow recess 23 which retains the arm 15 but does not permit the contacts 26, 27 to open; braking of the supply reel is thus avoided. After the second run, the film is allowed to run off the spool 14. As a safeguard against wrong insertion of the magazine, recess 24 is provided to engage lug 18 and switch off the motor. A centrifugal switch controls the motor speed, and the invention may be applied to spring motor cameras.
