Zusammenfassung: | The research aims to identify: 1- The study habits of the outstanding students. 2 - The level of academic self-concept among outstanding students. 3 - The correlation between the academic habits and the academic self concept of the outstanding students. 4 - Statistical differences in the study habits of students by gender variable. 5- The statistical differences in the academic self concept among the outstanding students according to the gender variable.
The research used the descriptive approach for a sample of students who are outstanding in the preparatory stage at Sulaymaniyah’s Outstanding Highschool.
The researcher has built two research tools, the first for the study habits, and the second for the academic self concept. The Pearson correlation coefficient and T-test were used as statistical means to process research data.
The results of the research:
1-The level of students superior in the average use of the correct school habits.
2- The level of academic self-concept among students above average.
3-There is a strong correlation between the two variables academic habits and the concept of academic self among the outstanding students was ( 0.61).
4- There are statistically significant differences in the correct study habits of the outstanding students according to the gender variable in favor of males.
5- There are no statistically significant differences in the academic self concept among the outstanding students according to the gender variable.
Based on the results of the research, the researcher recommended that the teachers provide guidance and guidance on the good study habits - according to the nature of the subjects - at the beginning of the school year. She also suggested building a mentoring program for correct study habits. |
