Zusammenfassung:The importance of the research lies in that it tackled a real life phenomena which is considered one of the most effective problems on the urban structure. Most of the developing countries has the problem of random residential units and all its negative effects on the main services and basic infrastructure as well as on the planning sector and the land use in the cities,From this point, the research began tackling this problem within its two chapters. The first chapter comprised the theoretical and conceptual aspect of the subject and concentrated on the issue of random residence in the city, it included the main factors that affects the spread of the phenomena and its geographical distribution, As The second chapter social the suggestions for dealing with the issue, To achieve the aims of the was a result of the, the researcher depended on gathering the data and information by adopting field research, The research reached several results, of which is : The other reasons for such phenomena in Al-Kufa was a result of adding to that the growth of the population, the increase in immigration, the lack of the residential account and the unorganized area expansion of the city, The research also proved the possibility of tackling the problem of randoms in the city through using some of the methods like the full and partial destruction of the units and developing method.
