Zusammenfassung: | This study was conducted on date palm tree, cv. Hillawi grown
in a private orchard at Abi –EL-Khassib District , Basrah
Governorate during the growing season of 2014, to investigate
effect of foliar spray of vegeamino and drin at concentrations of (2
and 4) ml.L-1 and ascorbic acid at (500 and 1000) mg.L-1 , and
number of sprays on some anatomical characters and ripening
percentage of fruit .Results showed that Ascorbic acid at 1000
mg.L-1 recorded significant increases in thickness of fruit exocarp
and outer mesocarp layers ,whereas Ascorbic acid at 500 mg.L-1
recorded significant increase in thickness of fruit inner
mesocarp.Vegeamino at 2ml.L-1 gave significant increases in cell
length and width of fruit inner mesocarp , whereas Drin at 4 ml.L-1
increased the number of cells in mm2 of fruit inner mesocarp
significantly and Drin at 2ml.L-1 increased fruit ripening percentage
significantly . Significant increases were recorded also for the
number of sprays in cell length and width of fruit inner mesocarp
and fruit ripening percentage , but no significant differences were
found for this factor on the other studied characters . Bicombination of Vegeamino at 2ml.L-1with two sprays recorded
significant increases in cell width and fruit ripening percentage ,
whereas Bi-combination of Vegeamino at 2 ml.L-1 with three sprays
increased thickness of fruit exocarp layer and number of cells in
mm2 of fruit inner mesocarp . Bi-combination of Vegeamino at
2ml.L-1 with one spray increased cell length significantly and
Vegeamino at 4 ml.L-1 with tow sprays increased thickness of fruit
outer mesocarp layer significantly , whereas Ascorbic acid at 500
mg.L-1 with one spray gave significant increase thickness of fruit
inner mesocarp. |
