Zusammenfassung:This experiment was designed to examine the effect of drenching (125mg / kg / day) of alcoholic extract of coconut for 38 days on the fertility of adult male mice by using the following criteria : relative testicular weight to body weight, testicular volume, sperm concentration, sperm viability, sperm abnormalities, serum testosterone concentration, and histological changes of the testis. For this purpose, 20 adult male mice were divided equally and randomly into two groups. Group (I) was administered (0.3^ ml) physiological saline (0.9 % NaCl). Group (II) was given 125mg / kg / day of alcoholic extract of coconut. Both groups were drenched with the same amount of treatment (0.3 ml). The results showed that the ' treatment with (125mg / kg / day) of the extract for caused significant increase in body weight, relative testicular weight to body weight, sperm concentration, sperm motility, in concordance with the significant reduction in sperm abnormality compared with the control group. However, the results indicated that there was significant increase in serum testosterone in treated group. The histological examination of the testis after 38 days of treatment with alcoholic extract of Cocoas nucifera showed significant increase (PO.01) in spermatogonia, primary and secondary spermatocytes and spermatid, while spermatozoa percentage was significantly decreased ; n the seminiferous lumen compared with control group. The numbers of Sterol and Leyden cells were also significantly increased (PO.01) in group which received alcoholic extract. In addition, the diameter and thickness of seminiferous tubule in group received 125 mg / kg B.W. of alcoholic extract of C. nucifera was highly significantly increased (P < 0.01) compared with the control group. صممت هذه الدراسة لاختبار تأثير تجريع 125 ملغم / كغم من وزن الجسم يوميا و لمدة 38 يوما من المستخلص الكحولي لثمرة جوز الهند على خصوبة الفئران البالغة و باستخدام المعايير التالية : وزن الجسم و نسبة وزن الخصية / وزن الجسم و حجم الخصية و تركيز الحيامن و وحيوية النطف و نسبة تشوه الحيامن و تقدير نسبة هرمون الشحمون الخصوي في الدم كذلك دراسة التغيرات النسيجية في الخصية. قسم في هذه التجربة عشرون فأرا ذكرا و بالغا عشوائيا و بالتساوي إلى مجموعتين. المجموعة (1) جرعت 0.3 مل من المحلول الفسيولوجي (NaCI 0.9 %). أما المجموعة (2) فقد جرعت 125 ملغم / كغم من وزن الجسم من المستخلص الكحولي لثمرة جوز الهند. أظهرت النتائج بأن المعالجة بـ 125 ملغم / كغم من وزن الجسم من المستخلص الكحولي لثمرة جوز الهند و لمدة 38 يوما سببت زيادة معنوية (P < 0.
