Zusammenfassung:The study was conducted in Iraq / Babil Governorate, and it aims to find out the effect of the hourglass chart strategy on the achievement of second-grade intermediate students in the subject of science and reflective thinking for them, and to achieve the two objectives of the research, the researchers used the experimental method to suit it for this type of research. The two groups of research were equivalent in the following variables: the chronological age of the students, the students -2019), the IQ test (Daniels), and the reflective thinking test. The research sample consisted of (67) students distributed among (33) students for the experimental group and (34) students for the control group, and one of the researchers taught the two groups the pre-defined topics. The researchers prepared an achievement test that measures the level verified. The researchers used the t-test (t-test), the chi square and the Pearson correlation coefficient to process the data, and after applying the test to the two research groups, the results showed the superiority of the experimental group students who studied using the hourglass chart strategy over the control group students who studied in the usual way in attaining the science subject. The calculated T value was (2.685), which is greater than the tabular T value of (2.000). This confirmed that teaching the science subject for the second intermediate grade using the hourglass chart strategy is more effective than teaching it in the usual way of achievement and reflective thinking.
