Zusammenfassung:There are few human activities as complex as safely piloting an aircraft. All human capabilities and resources are put to the test on a frequent basis in flight, and there are multiple examples of accidents and incidents that have been caused when those capabilities and resources were not sufficient to the task. This chapter shows decades of research and experience have yielded significant advances in the area of pilot performance measurement, yet there is still much to be learned about how to measure and analyze this dynamic realm of human behavior. This chapter concentrates on measurement for the training function mainly in simulators. Pub. in Assessment of Problem Solving Using Simulations, chapter 14, p272-288.
