Zusammenfassung: | This Phase I effort developed a source term model for particle resuspension from indoor surfaces to be used as a source term boundary condition for CFD simulation of particle transport and dispersion in a building. Specifically, this work: (1) investigated responsible mechanisms for fine particle resuspension from indoor surfaces, (2) identified parameters relevant to resuspension, (3) performed a dimensional analysis and derivation of a resuspension model, and (4) evaluated the model against published experimental data on resuspension. Preliminary validation of the derived model was conducted based on a set of experimental data from the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
