Zusammenfassung:The U.S. Army Defense Ammunition Center and School (USADACS) was tasked by the U.S. Army Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC), Packaging Division (SMCAR-AEP), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ, to develop an ammunition unit load for the shipping and storage of 105mm metal PA 117 containers . The metal pallet and adapters unitization procedures were designed by USADACS, Supply Engineering Division (SMCAC-DES); and USADACS, Validation Engineering Division (SMCAC-DEV), verified that both the unitization procedures and the first article production sample pallets and adapters could satisfy MIL- STD-1660, Design Criteria for Ammunition Unit Loads.
