Zusammenfassung:This document presents a gasket replacement study performed by AAI Corporation for the U.S. Army Chemical Research, Development and Engineering Center. The new gaskets will replace those currently used in the M3A3 Smoke Generator. In accordance with Delivery Order 0002, AAI performed the following tasks: (1) Conducted a literature and industry search for new gasket material, (2) Selected and procured four of the most promising replacement materials, (3) Tested gaskets fabricated from these materials using a GFE M3A3 Smoke Generator, and (4) Recommended final replacement gaskets based on cost, chemical and temperature resistance, and test performance.
