Zusammenfassung:The Armed Services Applicant Profile (ASAP), a background /bio-data questionnaire, was investigated to determine if it could be used to predict the results of background investigations conducted for recruits applying for high security risk jobs. Using data from an ongoing ASAP validation study, an ASAP predictor key score was developed using a weighted application blank method. Results indicated that the ASAP scoring key correlated significantly with background investigation criterion measure. In addition, the validity of the key held up well across different subgroups. It was concluded that behavioral science tests such as ASAP could potentially play an important role in the personnel security screening process.
