Zusammenfassung: | The study examines the fragmented planning for a Troop Medical Clinic (TMC) facility and develops a universal plan aimed at properly planning a military ambulatory care facility-the TMC. Though lacking published guidelines, the planning methodology shows that each health facility may vary with the organization's intent and environment but the conceptual framework holds a common denominator. The study discusses varying level of character actions and interface leading to a three phased planning process. Generally, the TMC is a small facility in comparison to a hospital, the time and effort in planning is in no way reduced. The study presents a common modality whereby the organizational mission, philosophy and goals would be incorporated into developing a military ambulatory care clinic interjected with judicious common sense and communication.
