Zusammenfassung: | Certain types of stress can cause increased nutrient requirements to maintain physiological or psychological performance levels; however, not all stress elicits this response and relatively few nutrient requirements are actually increased. Environmental stress sometimes causes increased energy (particularly carbohydrate) requirement. Water requirements are often increased by heat, cold, and altitude exposure. Certain aspect of mental performance may be enhanced during environmental stress by dietary precursors of brain neurotransmitters such as tyrosine. Keywords: Stress(Psychology), Environment, Nutrient requirements, Stress(Physiology).
